Delicious Cabbage Recipes

Here's some cabbage recipes for this great winter vegetable that is packed with nutrition and keeps well for months. Cooked cabbage has a reputation for being a strong vegetable. You either like or you don’t. If you don’t, you’re missing out on some great eating.

Cooking cabbage right makes all the difference.

Except for the sauerkraut, these recipes are lightly cooked for just 5 to 7 minutes or so.

Properly cooked cabbage still has its color, a little bite to it and a nice mellow sweet flavor.

There are so many ways to cook cabbage. Each variety offers new recipe choices.

We are so glad she shared this recipe before leaving. Recipe here ....

Fried Cabbage with Bacon

The following cabbage recipes were handed down from my husband’s family. His father grew up during the depression and fried lettuce was a regular meal. We now make it with cabbage. Fried cabbage is a simple recipe, but makes a great side dish. The cabbage really isn’t fried but lightly sauteed since over cooking brings out strong flavors. Fried cabbage is a quick side dish that adds a nice smoky sweet combination to your meal. Recipe here .....
